PPL (Phonographic Performance Limited)
PPL is a music industry collection society similar to a performing rights society in that they collect license fees from broadcast and public performances of copyrighted sound recording. PPL differs from performing rights societies in that the money collected from licenses is distributed to the record company that produced the copyrighted recording as well as the performer.
