About Adam St. James

Adam is the author of Logical Lead Guitar, plus many books for Hal Leonard, the world’s largest music publisher, including “101 Guitar Tips: Stuff All The Pros Know And Use,” “101 Singing Tips…,” “101 Recording Tips…,” and “Incredible Scale Finder.”

Additionally Adam edited many other great instructional books, including Hal Leonard’s “Picture Chord Encyclopedia,” and the REH ProLicks series books: “Blues Solos For Guitar,” “Country Solos For Guitar,” Jazz Solos For Guitar,” and others.

He also wrote for most of the major guitar magazines (and nearly 60 other publications) during a 20+ year journalism career, and currently writes the “Workin’ Band” column for Guitar Edge magazine. Adam was the long-time editor in chief of Guitar.com and Musician.com and has had the opportunity to interview and produce videos with hundreds of guitar and music celebrities.

His music industry credits also include running vintage guitar website Gbase.com, guitar lesson site GuitarVision.com, and work for Fender, Washburn, D’Addario, Planet Waves, Guitar Center corporate, FM Jam, and Sammy Hagar.

After years performing on the stages of the Sunset Strip, Adam now performs at clubs and festivals throughout the American Midwest with his Allman Brothers and Southern Rock tribute band, The Almost Brothers Band.
